Weaving

Part of the “Smaranda Brăescu” capsule, Weaving has been studied from images. Preserving old graphics, transforming them into designs and wearing the textiles they were printed on – is an interesting way to extend the story of those who marked Romania’s history.

Smaranda Brăescu, Romanian aviation pioneer, often appears in old images in full folk costume. The story, the determination and the mark she left in history captivates us.

Autumnal colors – brown, rust – are in tune with the original. We allowed ourselves small sparkles and a more chromatically bright area – with some dark petrol accents.
