This pattern’s theme is embroidery and glass beads.
Many many years ago, usual home textiles were richly decorated. Cushions and rugs embellished homes. Cotton thread and glass beads were the usual adornment of geometric patterns. Rugs represented flowers and birds.
Minunat has two much cherished old cushions, inherited from family. These cushions wear captivating patterns made in vivid colors.
These old patterns inspired Minunat to create a modern layout. This layout also contains an area dedicated to a previously used pattern. This part was inspired from East European wool woven rugs.
In the pattern, one area slides underneath the other. This layering represents the cosy corner in the house. Cushions and rugs fully decorated in pleasant colors, embroidery and glass beads, accumulated in time, so they create an eclectic decor.
This accessory is a square. Its main colors are shades of violet mixed with yellow and red. The layered pattern allows you to wear the square in more than 3 ways, as if you had 3 different items!
You can wear the square around your neck or on your head as it has the right size! You can find other cotton silk squares here.
