Detailed description

The tree of life – habotai design belongs to the Vegetal line of accessories, carried by the idea that folk can be abstract, folk can be learnt and redrawn in a personal way. You can see the Vegetal line here.

As simple as possible, the tree is still a tree. Imagined in different color, it represents each of us, either blue, green or violet. The creme background is natural – is wool beige? it is. This natural background creates a perfect place for each and everybody’s tree to bloom.

Story of the pattern

We have studied patrimony wool woven rugs from Eastern Europe, and we have selected the tree of life as main element. In these creations, the tree of life is rich of flowers and even birds, rich of color. The very simple shape of the tree is a choice imposed by Minunat’s attachment to a most famous sculptor of the XX-th century and pioneer of modernism, the sculptor Constantin Brâncusi. So the story goes : what is a tree? A trunk with branches, the connection between earth and sky? And humans? do they not come from the Earth, touch the sky and go back to the ground.
